In one of Dubai South’s most strategically located areas, the transformation of Sheikh Bin
Zayed Road roundabouts marked a key achievement in traffic compliance and urban
enhancement. With traffic flow and safety at the heart of the project, our team was entrusted with delivering a solution that balanced regulatory precision with visual appeal. From detailed site surveys to foundational works and landscaping, every stage of the project was executed with care and compliance in mind. The result is a set of upgraded roundabouts that not only improve connectivity within Dubai South but also demonstrate our commitment to quality, timely delivery, and sustainable design practices.
The Challenge: Navigating High Traffic and Tight Deadlines
The Sheikh Bin Zayed Road roundabouts in Dubai South face heavy traffic daily, making
construction a major challenge. With a strict four-month deadline, we had to ensure full traffic compliance while minimizing disruption. To achieve this, all work was carried out during night shifts, allowing us to complete the project on time without affecting the daily commute of thousands. This success highlights our team’s precision and commitment under pressure.

Innovative Solutions: Expertise and Strategic Collaboration
To tackle the challenges, TCMS partnered closely with relevant local authorities and relied on BRC’s expert team to deliver seamless execution. Our approach focused on three key areas:
• Detailed Planning and Design: BRC conducted thorough surveys of the existing
roundabouts to prepare precise design drawings, ensuring full alignment with traffic
compliance and regulations.
• Efficient Construction and Installation: The team carried out soil backfilling and
compaction, cast concrete foundations for signage and solar systems, and laid twocolored gravels matching the existing renders. All excavation for underground
connections was managed carefully to avoid traffic disruption.
• Advanced Signage and Solar Systems: While BRC focused on groundwork and
foundational works, the signage and solar lighting systems were designed and installed
by specialized partners to enhance both functionality and sustainability.
Importantly, all construction was completed within a tight four-month schedule, with work done exclusively during night shifts. This careful planning ensured safety, compliance, and minimal impact on daily traffic throughout the project.

Outcomes: On-Time Delivery and Unwavering Compliance
The successful completion of the project within the stipulated timeline, without violating any traffic rules or regulations, was a testament to our commitment to timely project delivery and lawful practices. The newly designed roundabouts not only improved traffic flow but also added an appealing visual element to the area, enhancing the overall urban landscape.

Conclusion: A Model of Traffic Compliance and Design Excellence
This project stands as a model of how infrastructure development can be achieved without compromising traffic compliance or adherence to regulations. Close collaboration with the relevant authorities and our expert team’s dedication to excellence ensured a successful outcome that can inspire future projects.
